About The Center

Oak Grove Child Care Center is a state-licensed program established in 1988 that services children six weeks to 12 years of age, regardless of race, creed, color, or origin. We are committed to providing superior childcare service because we believe that "children are our future.” Oak Grove Child Care Center is a place of bright beginnings that help develop and nourish firm foundations with active learning through play and discovery. Our focus is to help students develop their social, emotional, literacy, language, creative, cognitive, and physical skills. We currently have two locations, 2200 Fairfax Avenue and 1606 East 18th Street in Richmond, Virginia. We are a division of Redeemed Assembly, a non-profit organization founded in 1979 whose purpose is to serve the community by"finding and meeting the needs of people.”

Oak Grove Philosophy

The Environment

Oak Grove Child Care Center provides a safe, healthy and secure environment for early learning. Our classrooms are filled with developmentally appropriate toys and activities. Centers are changed periodically and toys are rotated to keep activities new and exciting. Children will develop fine motor sills, gross motor skills, social skills, and gain academic knowledge in various ways. Children will participate in circle time, story time, art center play, small groups, music and movement, outside play, free play, and visit our library and writing center daily. Your child is guaranteed to have fun while playing, learning, and reaching developmental milestones.

Nutrition

Oak Grove Child Care Center participate in the Child and Adult Care Food program which ensures that your child will receive nutritious and safely prepared meals and snacks that are low in sugar and high in fiber daily. The food is not only healthy but good. We provide breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack.
